To get started as a model or actor, you have to meet the people who cast for projects in person. That means finding and attending tons of open calls, evaluations and meetings with professionals. With the Coronavirus hysteria of 2020 affecting all parts of the world and now mainly the stock market, how will the entertainment industry in markets like Hollywood and New York City handle this moving forward?

The media loves to hype up situations, but we are not seeing any major indications it is having an affect with meetings for casting calls and auditions in New York, yet. We are not doctors or scientists and this is just an option piece, but it seems like the science is not matching up with the hysteria put out there by the major news organizations.

The official numbers by government officials would indicate the common flu is more of a death sentence then the Coronavirus however, that could change as we learn more about the effects on humans. Elderly and those with preexisting conditions seem to be the most venerable.

It is pretty simple, if you are sick stay home.

For any model or actor, in any market, if you are booked for open calls and auditions and do not feel well enough to attend, stay home and rest. It is better to be safe than sorry!
